Working out has always been a big part of my life.  Having a father who was a bodybuilder/powerlifter, I grew up wanting to be muscular and strong.  I tried CrossFit in 2012 for the first time and quickly realized there is more to being fit than just the way you look.  My first workout lasted 6 minutes and left me on the floor for 20.  Because of my competitive nature, I came back for more and have not looked back since.  My favorite part of what we do is watching the development of our athletes and seeing them reach levels they never thought to be obtainable.  Though, I am a Memphis native, Nashville has been my home since 2013 and I couldn't be more excited to be an affiliate owner in this awesome city!

I found CrossFit in 2011 after years of trying multiple activities

to stay fit. Nothing seemed to hold my interest for long, until I found

CrossFit. It was my MOM'S suggestion one summer while home from college to go give this "CrossFit" thing a try. After one day at CrossFit Embrace in Dothan, AL. I was hooked. Needless to say my obsession grew over the years and I saw many positive results in my health. Through this came a passion to want to help others in their fitness journey through strength and conditioning. From Dothan, AL. to Tuscaloosa, AL. and now Nashville, I am happy to be here helping make Nashville the fittest city there is!

Growing up throughout my childhood, sports were always a large portion of my life, but fitness/working out was the very bottom of my priorities. For me, finding CrossFit in 2009 has been a life changing experience in many ways. Starting as a college freshman in 2009, my sole goal with CrossFit initially was just avoiding the dreaded "Freshman 15". With no prior forays into fitness, I was truly a beginner who couldn't do a pull-up without assistance and had no idea what 99% of these movements meant. Nine years later, CrossFit has been an instrumental part of my life as I've seen not only the changes it's made in my life, but also in the lives of many others from body composition, to improved self confidence, to the life long friends it creates. A native of the CrossFit Meccah, Cookeville, I've now called Nashville home for the past 4 years! My passion is helping others, and I look forward to helping everyone who walks into H Dub regardless of what stage of life/fitness you may be at!

I started CrossFit in 2014 after being an avid distance runner for 5 years. Although running was something I excelled at, I knew there were other areas I was lacking in, namely strength. It quickly became obvious I had found an activity where I could work on my weaknesses but keep my endurance and work on anything else in between. Trey was one of my first coaches and his, and my other coaches, passion for helping us reach our fitness goals made me want to help others do the same. I started coaching the following year and quickly became invested in the wellbeing of my CrossFit family. I am happy to be part of CrossFit H Dub and help the people that call it home!

I am a Nashville Native and working towards my Bachelors degree in Nursing. Being involved in sports has always been a huge part of my life, soccer especially. My training usually involved sport-specific drills and conditioning. I didn’t start weight training until I started working at the YMCA. I was introduced to CrossFit by a co-worker of mine. I started CrossFit about four years ago and loved it. I love the constant challenge in this sport as well as the community. What I love more is helping athletes achieve their goals. I’m very thankful to be part of this amazing H Dub family!

I got my start in the fitness industry personal training and teaching group classes. I have enjoyed learning and exploring different types of training over the years. I became more interested in strength training and CrossFit style workouts in undergrad, while studying Exercise Science. Since then, it has been a big part of my life and career. The last few years, I have studied functional neuroscience through the Z-Health System, helping athletes with performance and also pain relief. I enjoy working with all kinds of athletes, and love being part of a community that brings people together through fitness & a healthy lifestyle.

Growing up my father owned a gym and was a personal trainer. Needless to stay I started my fitness journey at a very young age. I played football in high school and well into college until injuries stalled my career. But I never let that stop me from living a healthy and active lifestyle. In fact, being consistent with fitness & healthy life choices has added unbelievable value. These days it's a lot less about having motivation and a lot more about what you do when it is absent. Do you cave and quit or do you remember why you do it and get it done. It's all the times that I did it anyway when I didn't want to that helped me build a strong body and mind that I can be incredibly proud of.

Fitness has always been a non-negotiable in my life, but it’s looked different and served various functions throughout the years. I played volleyball and track through high school, which built strong habits, motivation, and community, but once I left the ‘athlete’ space, fitness for women seemed all about aesthetics and weight loss. When I found CrossFit in 2015 as an almost-college-grad, I was just looking for a mental health maintenance tool and a way to offset some calories.

My fitness journey has become so much more than I hoped for or even thought to look for. What I found surprised me, but not as much as I’ve surprised myself. I didn’t expect to meet so many wonderful people and to be challenged in new ways every day, but now the community, the motivation, and the constant learning are what I look forward to most. I certainly didn’t expect to care more about the weight on the barbell than the number on the scale. I most definitely thought I would never be able to do a handstand push-up. We all walk in with goals, and I want to help you achieve those, but I also want to help you discover goals you never knew you had. I’ve surprised myself by what I can do so many times over the past 7 years, and as a coach, I want to help you surprise yourself.
