Athlete of the Month!
It's that time again! Time to announce CrossFit H Dub's athlete of the month. What makes up an Athlete of the Month? Not RX’ing every workout or lifting the most weight. This athlete exhibits consistency and a hard work mentality. Every time they come to the gym they have a good attitude and give their all. This person is also welcoming of others, helping make CFHD the best community there is. Each month we choose a different athlete and post some fun facts about them to help y’all get to know them better.
This month we have Mr. George Cooper. George came to us in October looking for a new CrossFit family to be a part of. Since becoming part of the family, he has fit right in! George loves to have a good time, but when it's time to work he knows how to grind. That is what we want to exhibit here at CrossFit H Dub. He is the perfect example of GOOD VIBES, HARD WORK!
Name: George Cooper

How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you get into it? Started in 2012
What is your favorite/least favorite thing we do in CrossFit? Community by far, I have met some of the best people I know. The least thing USED to be double unders but thinking I kinda got that down now, so now I move to Thrusters
How has CrossFit H Dub positively affected you? After the closing of our gym, I knew that they were some good folks but didn't know if we could ever find another gym that instilled the same values, ie community, hard work and fun and some how we came across H Dub and it was so similar to our old gym, you folks have been so inviting to us and it is eerily, in a good way, to what we all loved about our old gym and credit should be given to you all on that.
What advice do you have for newcomers? embrace the suck.... its gonna suck some days but the benefits are so much greater, just stick it out and in the end you will be so much better
What is something no one at the gym knows about you? I am pretty much an open book. Simply ask
Who are 3 people you would have a meal or drink with dead or alive? Jerry Garcia, Jack White and John Barnes
If you had an intro song when you walk into the gym what would it be? "Atlantic City"- The band
Favorite Sport? Soccer
If you could have one super power what would it be? To be able to speak any language at any given time. our world is full of mis-communication and as we become a more global society, heck why not be able to travel anywhere and speak the language.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Well since I dont really not eat cheat meals, double negative there, I dont just have one but no one can feel bad for a good slice of pizza or a cheeseburger
