June's Athlete of the Month

Time to highlight one of our spectacular athletes! What makes up an Athlete of the Month? Not RX’ing every workout or lifting the most weight. This athlete exhibits consistency and a hard work mentality. Every time they come to the gym they have a good attitude and give their all. This person is also welcoming of others, helping make CFHD the best community there is. Each month we choose a different athlete and post some fun facts about them to help y’all get to know them better.

Miss Casey Caravello is June's well deserving athlete. She is one of the most hard working gals we have ever met. She found CrossFit H Dub through one of our 6 week challenges we held in October, stayed with us after and hasn't skipped a beat since. This girl has made a complete and total transformation. Physical transformation is great, yes. It's why 99% of us even come to the gym in the first place. But, that's not what it's all about. Seeing someone's mindset and confidence change is even more rewarding. We have seen all of the above in Casey in the past 7 months. We do not take credit for this. It is solely due to her drive to be the best she can be. She brings hard work and smiles every time she walks in our doors. Casey is participating in her first CrossFit competition in a few weeks and we cannot wait to see her shine! So thankful to have her as part of the family. Keep up the good vibes and hard work, girl!

What were your goals when you started CrossFit? I just wanted to lose some weight and be healthier.

How long have you been doing CrossFit and how did you get into it? I’ve been doing Crossfit for a little over a year. My mom saw an Ad on Facebook for a 4 week challenge. I was getting bored doing the same thing at the gym every day. I decided to give it a try.

What is your favorite/least favorite thing we do in CrossFit? Favorite thing is lifting/squatting heavy weight. My least favorite thing is running.

How has CrossFit H Dub positively affected you? When I moved here I didn’t know many people, everyone at H Dub made me feel at home and comfortable. I never considered myself an athlete until I started at H Dub.

What advice do you have for newcomers? Focus on yourself not those around you. Don’t compare yourself to other people; everyone is in a different place in their journey.

What is something no one at the gym knows about you? I can lick my elbow.
