June's Athlete of the Month
Time to highlight one of our spectacular athletes! What makes up an Athlete of the Month? Not RX’ing every workout or lifting the most weight. This athlete exhibits consistency and a hard work mentality. Every time they come to the gym they have a good attitude and give their all. This person is also welcoming of others, helping make H Dub the best community there is. Each month we choose a different athlete and post some fun facts about them to help y’all get to know them better.
Congrats to our Athlete of the Month, DEE! If you don't know this girl, well.. we don't know how that's possible, but you better get in a class with her ASAP. You will leave no doubt with a new friend! Dee never meets a stranger and we love that about her. She's been with H Dub for a few years now and we have loved watching her progress. From starting just to lose weight and having to force herself to show up, to now coming to the gym is a habit that she enjoys. We are so thankful to have you in the H Dub fam, Dee!

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Some people I’m too much but I think I’m just enough. I can be loud. Think any moment can be turned into a spontaneous dance party. Love the Lord and I consider myself a loyal friend
What were your goals when you started training?
Originally I just wanted to lose weight. Now it’s so much more. It has motivated me to crave a healthier life style and set concrete fitness goals for myself. H DUB helped me tap into strength I didn’t know I had
How long have you been at H Dub and how did you get into it? Like 3 years and I found an ad on Facebook !
What is your favorite/least favorite thing we do in training?
Least favorite is burpees. They should be illegal.
Favorite is all partner or team workouts. Love cheering my buddies on and it makes you closer with other members. Plus they push me farther than I’d push myself
How has H Dub positively affected you?
It’s basically my therapy. I work out and get them awesome emotionally uplifting endorphins. It’s a community I didn’t realize I needed. I’ve formed great meaningful friendships. Friends who cheer me on when I need the final push to lift that extra weight. I’ve accomplished more than you know. H DUB has helped me believe in myself again.
What advice do you have for newcomers?
Don’t let your fear stop you. Still come and that fear will eventually melt away
What is something no one at the gym knows about you?
This isn’t my real hair 🤫

Hockey. Love watching men punch each other as I drink an over priced beer 😁
If you could have one super power what would it be?
Teleportation. That way I can travel internationally for free and can avoid customs 😬
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Popeyes Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It’s BOMB!
