March's Athlete Of The Month
Time to highlight one of our spectacular athletes! What makes up an Athlete of the Month? Not RX’ing every workout or lifting the most weight. This athlete exhibits consistency and a hard work mentality. Every time they come to the gym they have a good attitude and give their all. This person is also welcoming of others, helping make H Dub the best community there is. Each month we choose a different athlete and post some fun facts about them to help y’all get to know them better!
Congrats Olivia Archer! This consistency queen is full of energy and always great to converse with. She has an extensive knowledge of psychology, horror movies and Taylor Swift's music. Coachable is an understatement as she is eager to learn and make improvements. As a former collegiate athlete, you can see her competitive drive take over when the clock starts, unless Roo walks by which she would gladly stop to show some dog love. I’ve always had a competitive background whether its lacrosse, beer pong, arguments in general. I love reading fictional books. Animal lover through and through, all dogs can never be wrong in my eyes. What were your goals when you started training? - My goals were to be in the best mentally and physically shape I’ve ever been. What is your favorite/least favorite thing we do in training? - My favorite thing about the gym is the community and the support system behind it. My least favorite are the full cardio days. How has H Dub positively affected you? - The gym’s support system has shown that you can start your work out journey at any stage and still come out of every class feeling like you’ve improved yourself. What advice do you have for newcomers? - My advice for newcomers is to be kind to yourself. You don’t always need to be at 100%. Sometimes your goal is making it to the gym, other times it's just making sure you stay moving. It’s easy to spiral down and focus on the negative, challenge yourself to find a positive outcome.
