I have always loved two things: 1. helping others 2. being in the weight room. It took me a little while to realize that by combining these two, I can make a passion a career. I have an amazing supportive wife, two wild little boys and the best dog a man could ask for.
My goals initially were to be like the men I looked up to which were my Dad, Arnold and pretty much any wrestler on TV. As I dove further into training my goals have changed and now I am more focused on feeling good and being able to do any type of outdoor activity.
Since day 1!
My favorite thing to do would be bench press as it is the movement that made me fall in love with fitness. Least favorite would be Snatching/Overhead Squats.
It has truly changed my life. I get so much out of seeing someone else smash a goal or do something they thought was never possible.
I used to be really big into what would be deemed country boy things : hunting, fishing, riding 4wheelers.
I wish I had the power to heal others' pain, both mental and physical.

Consistently showing up is the hardest in the beginning but it is the fast track to success.

Married to the owner/am the co-owner of H Dub. Was full-time at the gym for 2.5 years before getting into Real Estate. I still coached part time until 2021 when we had our first son. Now I am a full-time Realtor and mom of 2 boys and coach when I'm needed!
In 2010? To look hot. Then it morphed into just being healthy!
Since the beginning!
Favorite thing... lifting
Least Favorite... running
Gosh, so many ways! It's made me a more confident person. When I first started coaching, it's easy to doubt yourself and your knowledge. The more you trust your coaching abilities and actually see your coaching pay off (i.e. giving a cue to fix a movement and then see the fix!), the confidence will shine through and more and more athletes will be positively impacted! I also always leave class feeling better just from connecting and chatting with all of our amazing members.
 I've been struck by lightning.

I grew up in northeast Ohio and have been part of H Dub for as long as I’ve lived in Nashville. Outside of coaching, I work as a marketing account director, and at home, I’m happily outnumbered by my two cats.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up playing volleyball, track, and basketball, and I love bringing that same team spirit, energy, and encouragement into my classes.
My goals when I started training were a lot different than they are now! I started out just looking for a way to continue fitness post college.

My favorite part is pushing myself beyond what I previously thought myself capable of whether it’s moving more weight, moving faster, or perfecting a new skill. The things we don’t want to do are usually the things we need to do most to get better, so I’m going to skip the least favorite question!
The good vibes in every class energize me, and I love making connections with each of the members and watching them grow.
I was a creative writing major in college.

Showing up is the hardest part! Just show up and your coaches will guide you through the rest and make sure you are set up for success in each workout.

I am the oldest sibling in my family. Getting a cup of coffee and/or food lifts up my spirits any day of the week. Obviously, on this coffee runs there is a pup cup for the most beautiful dog I owe Luna.
When I started training it was simply to stay fit and enjoy the company of my friends.
This question makes me laugh. If you ask me I would say 3 years but as most of the H dub family knows I have been year for 7 years now. Come ask me why.
Favorite thing about training getting strong and lifting a heavy barbell. Least favorite any thing with heavy gymnastics in it
I have been able to find my passion for olympic weightlifting while coaching.
I am the oldest of six.
Controlling the weather. Because I have been trying to keep up with my herbal garden and I believe to have a brown thumb.

I am a former collegiate swimmer and after graduation, I was looking to challenge myself and find a community outside of work, so I started at my local CrossFit. 5 years later, I am still enjoying the process of becoming a more well-rounded athlete since there are always new skills to improve on. I moved to Nashville to get my MBA and I stuck around for my job!
I wanted to get stronger and continue to push myself in new ways.
Since January 2024!
Favorite: heavy snatches, least favorite: strict handstand pushups
Since I do mainly open gym, coaching has allowed me to meet a lot of members and connect with them! I have really enjoyed becoming a more integral part of the community, which is not easy to do working out alone.
I played hockey for 10 years. I started when I was 6 and played into high school!
Control time! Sometimes you need an extra hour in the day.

Aesthetics and to feel good
Since summer of 2019
Favorite: pull ups
Least Favorite: burpees
I am inspired when I see the members of our community surpass their own expectations. It is a great honor that I get to play a role in helping them do that, and I continue to learn so much through the process.
I eat the same breakfast every single day… scrambled eggs on a couple of flour tortillas with avocado and Cholula (the only acceptable hot-sauce, this is not up for debate).

Drop the all-or-nothing mentality. Miss a week of training? A month? Quit beating yourself up about it. Instead, make a plan for your next class. Don’t hesitate to connect with a coach to set an attainable attendance goal - we are all here to support!

Coaching our athletes gives me so much joy because we have a chance to positively impact someone’s day directly. Athletes come to us for advice, modifications, questions, and tips. We get to see the hard work put in by people and celebrate their success with them!

I am form Mexico. I've been coaching since 2015 . I enjoy coaching beginner and seeing them learn skills they can carry outside of the gym. I have a cat named Crema. I enjoy traveling and adventuring with my wife Kayla.
I was running cross country in highschool before I started lifting weights and doing crossfit. I wanted look muscular for the girls. That evolved to genuine interest movement mechanics and performance.
Since 2018
Favorite: high skill movement. They motivate me to master them!
Least favorite: power lifting movement.

Favorite thing to do in training is to be consistent. Least favorite is when I allow excuses to take me away from the gym/get me off my routine.
Coaching at H Dub has positively affected me because I've gotten to know this AWESOME community! There are so many great people here and it's truly a blessing to be able to coach here!
I got engaged and became an uncle all within two weeks.
